Day Trip: Burren & Ennis

Burren & Ennis Experience

Date offered: Wednesday, July 22
Cost: €85
Minimum to Proceed: 30

Starting at  Caherconnell (Cathair Chonaill, meaning ‘Conall’s stone ringfort’), you  will step back into medieval times to explore one of Ireland’s finest ringforts that dates from the early 10th to mid-12th century.  It is remarkably well preserved and is one of the finest examples of forts in Ireland and of major archaeological importance.

You will also experience a fun and interactive sheepdog demonstration with one of the Davoren shepherds and the Caherconnell Collies and will be amazed at the skill of the shepherd and his team of collies on a live working sheep farm.

After tea & scones ( or coffee!) you will  spend the afternoon in the town  of Ennis—the home of traditional Irish music with time to create your own pub crawl. We will provide you with a list of the best spots to hit for the best in traditional music and pub food!
