Visa Information

Visa Information

You must have a national passport or national identity card to enter Ireland. If you are unsure of what you need, please check here what you may require to enter the country.

ETIAS, which stands for the European Travel Information and Authorization System, has been delayed until October 2026. Therefore there are no additional requirements for residents of the U.S. at this point.

Should you require a visa to visit Ireland, we are happy to assist with a letter outlining your visit and attendance at Annual Alumni Week. Please email events@uwpiaa.org.

For those travelling into Northern Ireland or on to Scotland and England: These are part of the United Kingdom and no longer in the EU, so you should check separately what you may require.
