Who needs Paris, when we have Turku?
Join us for a memorable autumn weekend in Finland’s oldest city—a place where medieval history meets riverside charm, delicious food, and just the right amount of groovy sins.
From ancient castles and hidden stories to iconic pizza, lively evenings, and great company, this Triangle Alumni Date promises a perfect mix of culture, laughter, and reconnecting with old friends.

Friday, 23 October – Welcome to Turku

  • Arrive in Turku and check in to your hotel at your own pace.
  • 19:30 – Welcome dinner at Dennis, Finland’s second-oldest pizzeria and a true local institution.
  • After dinner, we’ll head out to experience the nightlife and atmosphere of Turku together.

Saturday, 24 October – History, Sins & Surprises

  • 07:30–11:00 – Breakfast at Radisson Blu Marina Palace Hotel (for hotel guests)
  • 10:30–12:00 – The Sins and Vices of Old Turku
  • Join a guided walking tour through the city’s medieval streets as we uncover fascinating tales, colourful characters, and the darker side of Turku’s past.
  • From 12:00 – Lunch and free time
  • Enjoy lunch at the historic Turku Market Hall (Kauppahalli) or explore the city at your own pace.
  • 14:30 – Shuttle departure to Turku Castle
  • 15:00–17:00 – Echoes of History
  • Discover over 700 years of Finnish history during a guided tour of the magnificent Turku Castle.
  • 17:00 – Shuttle back to the hotel
  • 19:00–21:00 – Alumni Dinner
  • Gather for an evening of great food and even better company.
  • From 21:00 – Groovy surprise programme… We’re keeping this one under wraps—for now!

Sunday, 25 October – Explore Turku Your Way

  • 07:30–11:00 – Breakfast at Radisson Blu Marina Palace Hotel (for hotel guests)
  • Spend your Sunday discovering Turku at your own pace. We’ll provide a list of Visit Turku recommendations to help you make the most of your day.
  • One highlight is the Turku Herring Market (Turun Silakkamarkkinat), a beloved tradition dating back to 1636. Stroll along the Aura River and browse local delicacies, fresh and marinated herring, artisan crafts, warm woollens, and seasonal treats from the Finnish archipelago.
  • Or choose from Turku’s many museums, exhibitions, cafés, and riverside attractions before heading home.

TAD 2026 fee is 87€. It includes both guided tours on Saturday, shuttle to and from the Turku castle, entrance fee to Turku castle, and dinner on Saturday. It does not include your travel to and from Turku, accommodation or breakfasts, Friday night dinner or Saturday lunch.

Radisson Blu Marina Palace Hotel (Main TAD Hotel), Linnankatu 32, 20100 Turku
We’ve reserved a room allotment with special group rates:

River View Single Room: €128/night
River View Twin Room: €148/night

The rate includes:

  • Breakfast
  • Guest sauna
  • Wi-Fi

After registering for the event, you’ll receive the booking code needed to access the special rate.
Please note:

  • The room allotment is available until 23 September 2026 at 16:30 (Finnish time) or until fully booked.
  • Reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card or paid at the time of booking.
  • Guests pay for their accommodation individually.
  • Reservations may be cancelled free of charge up to 4 days before arrival.

Alternative accommodation

Scandic Hotels offers Triangle Alumni Date participants 10% off their daily online room rates. If you’d prefer to stay at a Scandic hotel in the Turku area, simply let us know and we’ll provide the discount code.

The closest Scandic hotel to Marina Palace is Scandic Go. Their prices do NOT include breakfast and they only provide a “breakfast to go” for an additional fee.

Please remember that most programme activities depart from Radisson Blu Marina Palace Hotel. If you choose to stay elsewhere, make sure to allow enough time to arrive at the meeting point according to the programme schedule.
