Xperience K (for “Kids” 7 to 12 years old) and T (for “Teens” 13-17 years old) offer an Xplosive weeklong Xperience, rooted in the values of Up with People.
Wherever your child falls in the 7 to 17 year age range, we have a space for them in one of the two specially designed and distinct, age-appropriate curriculums with an Xciting Up with People flair!
In addition to our traditional K and T components of arts and culture, daily dance and vocal workshops, and discussions, Ireland will set the stage for K and T to Xplore the local region and a wide variety of Xtraordinary outdoor adventures, as well as to interact with the local community, and a performance night that gives participants a large role on stage. The last day will begin with reflection time and then move on to an action-packed day on the shores of Lough Derg for a variety of activities at the university’s activity center —it’s just like a ‘mini’ UWP experience!
Schedule Overview
Monday 5th Cast K & T Orientation and Family Day
For each K & T registrant a parent / guardian may attend the family get to know your Xperience K & T leaders and team, as well as your new cast mates.
Head off for a 16th century medieval experience!
This day begins early so you will need to have checked in at registration on Sunday, August 4th or at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 5th.

While the adults are nurturing old Up with People friendships, our K and T participants will be developing new international relationships, breaking stereotypes, and building bridges of understanding—sound familiar?

Why the change?
In response to not only the 2019 alumni survey, but also with thanks to input from Cast K and T participants and parents from 2022 and 2023, Xperience K and Xperience T have been created! You spoke and we listened!
Who is leading?
This will be a more in-depth programme than we’ve ever had before for both age groups! It runs during Annual Alumni Week 2024, and we are delighted that Walter Belcher (’89C), along with a very talented international team will be leading these Xperiences.
I am Walter Belcher, a proud Up with People alumnus and former Director of Camp Up with People and Up with People Jr.
As an artist and educator I consider creativity, and artistic expression to be my superpower.

My name is Erin and I live in Fort Collins, CO while I pursue my doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University I am also a professional dancer performing with companies in Denver, CO! Hi there! I’m Max, from Sweden but I’ve lived in London for the past five years, I moved here for the fish & chips and stayed for the rainy weather! I travelled in B15/A16 and then worked for both UWP and Camp UWP in several different positions over a few years, and now I’m so very excited to be part of this summer’s Xperience! We have a fantastic team, and I’m sure we’ll have an amazing week!
Hi! My name is Emily, and I live in Boston, Massachusetts. I traveled in ’15A, then worked for Camp Up with People for five years in various positions. I look forward to joining the Xperience K and T team and am so excited to have a great week together!
What are the dates?
The Xperience K and Xperience T programmes will run from August 5th – 10th, inclusive (6 full days!), and launch with a Family Day and Orientation on the 5th. Spaces will be limited. You will need to check in on the 4th or very early on the 5th. One parent per K / T participant may attend the orientation and family day, which includes a fun activity travelling back in time for a 16th Century Medieval experience on the 5th. A second parent or guardian may register separately for this special day.
What is the cost?
Early Bird Rate until midnight in your time zone February 3rd:
7-12 years old: Xperience K €720
13-17 years old: Xperience T €720
