The Infinity Walk in Milford Care Centre

This year in Limerick, we are again offering the opportunity for casts and crews to sponsor a cherry tree in memory of those from their groups who have passed.

Last year we began this journey to have our alumni memorialised in the Infinity Walk, which will become part of Cherry Avenue at Milford Care Home near the University campus.  Working with Zoe, the Social and Therapeutic Horticulturist at Milford, we source and deliver the specific cherry tree variety that has been selected for the special walkway.

Your donation goes towards the purchase and transportation of Prunus ‘Kanzan’, the specific tree species chosen by Zoe and her team.

A small number of attendees will be able to participate in a service project at the centre as well, a walkable distance from campus, see directions below.

It is a €200 donation to “sponsor” a memorial tree. It has been added as a registration option for Annual Alumni Week.

Milford Care Centre has been serving this community since 1928. It is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity providing Specialist Palliative Care and Older Persons Services in the Mid-West Region.

As a Little Company of Mary healthcare facility, they aim to provide the highest quality of care to patients or residents, family and friends, both in the areas of Palliative Care and Services to the Older Person, as envisaged by Venerable Mary Potter.

We are pleased to offer the opportunity for casts and crews to sponsor a cherry tree in memory of those from their groups who have passed.
