Award Nominations for the 2019 Reunion are now open. To submit a nomination, please click here. All the information you need to nominate individuals for awards to be presented at this summer’s Reunion is at the link. Nominations will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (US) on March 31.
For all but the J. Blanton Belk Award, nominees must be from one of the current official reunion years: 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014. The awards presented include:
- One (1) J. Blanton Belk Alumnus/Alumna Award may be presented annually from among all alumni of Up with People. Alumni are considered for this award if he/she has made an exceptional contribution to humankind by carrying forward the ideals of Up with People.
- The James E. MacLennan Everyday Hero Award may be presented to multiple alumni each year from among the current reunion years. Those with the most significant records of serving others steadily through small, yet effective acts of kindness; founding or leading community service impact programs and projects; and/or responding to emergencies or human misery whether domestic or foreign will recognized for this award.
- One (1) Outstanding Cast Representative Award may be presented annually from among the current reunion years. This award recognizes Cast Representatives for their effort to deliver a high percentage of their cast to their reunion years as well as keep the cast connected between reunion years.
If there are multiple people who want to make a nomination for one person for one of these award, please have one person coordinate the submission of that nomination by collecting supporting letters, photos, etc. and submitting all that information at once along with one nomination.
